Low growing shrub spreading about 1m. Attractive blue foliage and white flowers.

Pimelea prostrata is a low growing prostrate perennial shrub that is endemic, found commonly growing in coastal to montane forests amongst open sites with gravel, sandy and mudstone soils. Also sometimes referred to as the New Zealand daphne, the Pimelea prostrata has small pointy blueish green foliage complimented by small sweetly scented flowers that occur in September through to May.
The small shrub grows in a carpeting form and looks great creeping across rocks. Can reach a height of up to 20cm and will most commonly spread to 1m. Tolerates most conditions but does best in full sun and well draining soils.
