Hebe pubescens subsp. sejuncta heavily branched shrub that grows up to 2m in height. It is endemic to the offshore Mokohinau, Little Barrier and Great Barrier Island in the Hauraki Gulf. Found commonly growing in open coastal forest, shrubland and petrel scrub on offshore islands. Often a pioneer on recently cleared or disturbed ground. It is rare on Great Barrier Island. Branches vary from erect to spreading with dark green, glossy leaves that are obovate or oblanceolate in shape and are usually broadest above the midpoint. Pale lavender-blue flowers appear on spikes and fade to white in August to November and gain in May through to July.
