Typically erect habit, lovely long, deep violet-blue flower spikes. Very hardy throughout NZ.
Hebe macrocarpa var. latispela is a variety of Hebe is originally Great and Little Barrier Islands. This Hebe can be found growing from Auckland southwards to Taranaki and Poverty Bay, North Island, New Zealand were it grows in sunny, windswept conditions on the coast or on bush ridges. The erect shrub can reach a height of 1.5m and a spread of 1m. Small violet flower heads appear in autumn.
Plant in sunny and exposed spots in the garden.
