Coprosma acerosa, commonly called sand coprosma, is a shrub that is native to New Zealand. It is a coastal plant found on the landward side of sand dunes.
C. acerosa is a low, spreading coastal shrub with yellow-brownish leaves, red bark and blue fruit. Rapidly becoming endangered as sanddunes are developed or grazed.Varying colours from different eco-sourced plants.
It forms a tight tangled mound of orange/brown foliage. An excellent plant for dry coastal conditions. Best in full sun and dry solis. Grows to a tangled height of 500mm high and spreads approx 1m wide.
