Coastal North Island Fern

Ground fern with arching fronds of shining green leaves. Though it is a relatively small fern, its fronds can reach a length of about 1.5m in optimum growing conditions. Found on the forest floor through most of NZ but can also be found growing in trees. .Grows well in moist areas with light shade.

It is endemic to New Zealand and the Kermadec Islands.
