Small coastal tree found from North Cape to Banks Peninsula.

Purchase 5 or more Dodonea viscosa (PB3) and pay $5.95 each.

Dodonaea viscosa is a indigenous bushy shrub or small tree. This species is widely distributed and is commonly found growing in coastal to lowland forests. Easy to distinguish because of its flakey red bark, oval shaped alternate foliage and papery clusters of flowers which appear in August. The shrub or small tree has a relatively fast growth rate and can reach a height of 12m.

The Dodonaea viscosa can be frost tender until well established but otherwise is a remarkably resilient plant particularly to waterlogged soils. Plant in full sun and can work well use as coastal hedging or protection.
