Scandia rosifolia is a rare native herb, a semi-erect sprawling woody shrub.

Endemic to the North Island, this shrub is found in coastal to subalpine habitats, growing on cliff faces, clay banks or amongst boulders.

Scandia rosifolia is a semi-erect sprawling woody shrub that grows to about 1m in height with a spread of 1-1.5m. Its foliage is shiny, grass green with deeply serrated leaf margins. White flowers appear between September to June.
