Attractive yellow flowering spreading shrub with grey felted foliage.

Brachyglottis 'Crustii', belonging to the Asteraceae family is a spreading shrub which grows approximately 1 metre in height. It's leaves are grey-green and felted on the undersides with a soft white tomentum. This two tone coloured foliage is a key feature of the shrub and looks spectacular in floral arrangements. Brachyglottis produces masses of yellow daisy-like flowers from December through to March. This attractive shrub will tolerate most soil types in reasonably dry conditions. It likes to be in full sun and will tolerate some wind and salt spray.

Brachyglottis is attractive in containers and doesn't require a lot of maintenance other than a regular trim. It is found on coastal rocks of the North Island from Pahaoa River to Cape Tuakirae.
